The RA work primarily with Prof Joshua Lewis at NYU and Dr Lucius Caviola (Harvard University). The research projects are focused on judgment and decision making in contexts of large consequence for people’s wellbeing, designed to inform the effective altruism movement. Drs Matti Wilks (University of Edinburgh), Joshua Lewis, and Lucius Caviola are looking to hire a research coordinator for a series of developmental research projects. This project will involve working with children and families to collect data, and also to coordinate and manage several research projects. We are looking for someone who is passionate about research and working with children and families, and ideally wants to help us understand moral development a little better!
The NYU Stern Marketing Department seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual for a full-time Post-doctoral Research Scientist position for a period of one year (with possibility of renewal).
The Post-doctoral Research Scientist will work primarily with Professor Joshua Lewis at NYU Stern’s Marketing Department, and they will spend at least 95% of their time on research with the remaining time spent on other assigned responsibilities. They will be responsible for leading projects on judgment and decision making in contexts of large consequence for people’s wellbeing. This post-doctoral position is part of a broader research agenda (see here) on behavioral science that bears on the question of how individual actors can do the most good possible and that contributes to solving the world’s most pressing problems, in line with the principles of effective altruism.
