Passionate about public health and committed to advancing public health and fostering positive impacts on healthcare systems, I’m an accomplished professional with diverse experience in emergency responses, research, incident management systems, vaccination, immunization, and health systems strengthening. Currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health at Makerere University School of Public Health, I hold a solid foundation with a Bachelor’s in Nursing Sciences from Uganda Martyrs University and specialized training in Field Epidemiology.

Throughout my career, I’ve played pivotal roles at reputable institutions such as WHO, MoH, MakSPH, and Mulago National Referral Hospital. My expertise spans the evaluation of surveillance systems, outbreak investigations and response, case management, data analysis, dissemination, research, capacity building, and report writing.

Curently supporting AMR monitoring and Evaluation on the Fleming Fund In my recent role as a Surveillance Officer (National Rapid Responder) at the MoH, I provided technical expertise in developing and implementing policies and programs related to infectious diseases. Conducting trainings, supervising field investigations, and supporting case management teams, I contributed to the establishment of robust surveillance systems. Active involvement in Joint External Evaluations and after-action reviews enhanced the country’s capacity and preparedness for health emergencies.

As a Nursing Officer at Mulago National Specialized Referral Hospital, I managed patients with infectious diseases and advanced airway infections. Engaging in vaccination campaigns, training healthcare workers, supervising data entry, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control measures were integral aspects of my responsibilities.

Contributing as a Research Assistant on projects, I am proficient in data management, analysis, and adherence to research protocols, playing a crucial role in producing valuable insights.

In addition to academic achievements, I hold certifications from WHO in Rapid Response Team, a certification in Biosecurity and Biosafety, Incident Management Systems, and IPC Practices for Infectious Diseases. As a certified Field Epidemiologist, I continually enhance my skills in global health security.

As a Training Facilitator, I actively participated in training regional rapid responders in critical aspects of rapid response teams.

Eager to leverage my skills and experiences for transformative healthcare initiatives, I am open to collaboration and networking opportunities. I invite you to connect for discussions on public health, research, and innovative healthcare solutions.
