We’ll meet on the Wood Terrace on the roof of the NAC. You can access the terrace from the third floor of the NAC or via stairs up to the roof of the NAC from Elgin St (south of the main entrance, near Albert St) or from the Mackenzie King Bridge.
The roof of the NAC is a bit of a maze so I’ve tried to highlight the path to the terrace in the banner photo of this event. Unfortunately the photo got all cropped.
If you find that the patio chairs on the terrace have been packed up, head directly to the Peter A. Herrndorf place, i.e. where all the couches are on the Elgin St level. Head straight towards the back from the main entrance on Elgin St.
Sunset is at 7:50pm so we should be able to watch that from the patio and then head inside to the couch lounge when it’s dark.
Equator Coffee in the NAC will be closed by the time we arrive. I’ll try to bring some snacks.
I’d recommend bringing a water bottle since the forecast is about 30 degrees, though there is water available inside the NAC.
I’ll wear a shirt that says ‘GiveWell’ so you can find us.
You’re invited to join us even if we haven’t met before or you aren’t sure what this effective altruism thing is all about. We’d be happy to meet you!
