Probably not viable for most use cases, but for nonprofits that are expected to remain small for several years, IRS generally processes Form 1023-EZs in less than a month. You’re not eligible if you “project that your annual gross receipts will exceed $50,000 in any of the next 3 years,” or the organization has done so in any of the past 3 years.

The second doesn’t really help (since you’ve probably already been delayed by the errors), but I could imagine very impactful projects needing to be set up quickly for disaster response.
