Announcing Impact First (We’re Hiring)

Most people who could have an extraordinary impact don’t get the support they need to do so — not because that support doesn’t exist, but because it isn’t accessible to them.

The ideas, people, and opportunities the EA community introduced me to completely changed my life’s trajectory, and are responsible for almost everything I’ve achieved since. And yet, I found it largely by accident!

Looking back, this doesn’t surprise me. Communities like this can be hard to find and often go unnoticed, even by the people who would benefit most from them. One of the things I love most about community building is that it lets me work directly on this problem — helping more people access the kind of support I did as they pursue fulfilling, high-impact careers.

I’m still learning what works best, but experimenting over the past year has only made me more excited about the communities we can create and the impact they can have.

London is one of the most talent-dense cities in the world, full of ambitious people who care deeply about doing good, and far more of them could have an outsized impact if they had access to the right support.

With that in mind, I’m excited to be launching a new organisation with the support of Arcadia Impact, Impact First, to scale our community-building efforts and reach more people than ever before.

To help build Impact First, I’m looking to hire a Community and Operations Manager/Associate. I’d love to hear from anyone who feels similarly energised by this problem and would be excited to work with us to help solve it!
