Decentralised social good communities face significant coordination problems: Many talented social actors and influencers are either unaware of key knowledge or unable to find a clear fit for their skills. This is particularly true in less developed countries, where relevant networks are relatively nascent. To address this, we’d like to support the work that develops the global network of recruiters and talent scouts. For instance, these organisations and individuals would collect leads for key jobs and projects, identify and proactively fund and connect talented but ‘naive’ social actors, and assess and curate talent pools related to key career domains and skill-sets.
There are hundreds of organizations in the effective altruism ecosystem and even more high-impact job openings. Additionally, there are new organizations and projects we’d like to fund that need to recruit talent in order to establish founding teams and grow. Many of these often lack adequate resources to do proper recruiting. As such, we’d be excited to fund EA-aligned recruitment agencies to help meet these hiring needs by matching talented job-seekers with high-impact roles based on their skills and personal fit.
