If fewer than 99% of humans die, I suspect that most of modern human values will be preserved, and so aside from temporary changes, I suspect values would stay similar, and potentially continue evolving positively, albeit likely with a delay and at a slower pace—but there would be a damaging collapse of norms that might not be recoverable from.
