Apply for Stanford Existential Risks Initiative (SERI) Postdoc
The Stanford Existential Risks Initiative (SERI) is offering a two-year postdoc position, 50% research, 50% teaching (you can teach original courses if you want!) “This position is open to recent graduates of PhD programs across a variety of fields, whose research and teaching is focused on mitigating existential or global catastrophic risks.”
Deadline is Jan 15. Apply here!
I honestly think it’s incredible that you can do research in and teach about existential risks, funded not by an EA org but by Stanford University itself. It’s amazing what SERI has been able to accomplish.
It’s super cool :). I think SERI’s funded by a bunch of places (including some university funding, and for sure OpenPhil), but it definitely feels incredible!
