This is some great research and a really nice summary. I read it on the High-Impact Engineers Portal, but great to see it being cross-posted here, as it’s just a very good summary of the state of nuclear risk in general, and the challenges we face.
It’s great how you highlight the real risks. I see a lot of analogy to AI here; you can go into this field with the best of intentions, and if you’re not careful, you could end up working on something that is increasing rather than reducing the risk.
