P.S. I’m personally confused by the “Hail Mary” terminology...

Due to the difficulty of a completion with this pass, it makes reference to the Catholic ‘Hail Mary’ prayer for supernatural help.”
However, Bostrom’s Hail Mary approach was intended to have a high probability of success for achieving a small win (where small win = short pass, in football speak), i.e., the opposite of what Wikipedia describes.
