How do you manage research questions? Do you have some sort of an internal list of relevant questions? I’d also love to hear about specific examples of decisions to pursue or discard a research question.
We keep a large list of project ideas, and regularly add to it by asking others for projects ideas including staff, funders, advisors, and organizations in the spaces we work in.

Is it reasonable to publicly publish the list or some of it?
How do you prioritize and select them?
Do the suggestions to pursue a project come from the managers or the researchers? If they sometimes come from the researchers, do you have any mechanisms in place to motivate the researchers to explore the list or does it happen naturally?
