Alert on the Toner-Rodgers paper
This influential paper purported to show that AI greatly increased innovation.
MIT has asked for it to be retracted.
There are some dodgy signals, like the student in question apparently registering a domain name associated with a firm, which then complained to WIPO about it.
It could still be the case that AI greatly increases innovation, but, I wouldn’t trust this paper.
