The Centre for Philosophy and AI Research in Erlangen, Germany, directed by Prof. Vincent Müller, is looking for four (funded) PhD students, one postdoctoral researcher and one director of research. This is a great chance for philosophers, or aspiring philosophers, to have an impact since the scope of the Centre encompasses several EA focus areas, including existential risk from AI, AI sentience and AI alignment (for a longer indicative list, see here). Moreover, since the Centre was only founded in 2022, working there might allow new hires to have a comparatively large influence on its future research agenda.
