(2) Some thoughts on whether you personally should earn to give or do direct work
(3) Links to resources on promising earning to give options like software engineering or being an early employee at a startup
This article doesn’t seem to mention the option of doing both EtG and direct work.
Given the extremely high salaries of some direct-work roles (especially, but not only, in AI Safety), many people working high-impact jobs can easily donate tens of thousands of dollars a year (and many do! Some much more!)
