discuss a couple of high impact charities in their area. the great thing is that now there are high impact charities in as lot of cause areas, not just a few.
talk about some charities being much better than others, helping more people better than less.
discuss whatever questions and concerns someone might be having about the whole thing
things like impact calculators can be good for some people but not for most in my experience.
I don’t think generic organizations like GiveWell are the best for most non EA people because they are one step removed from the people they are helping, but it all depends on the person!
