Role Summary
Scaling Altruism is currently managed by Milán Alexy, with Lili Csabai (former Operations Lead) and Gergő Gáspár (founder of EA Hungary, Director at EA UK) serving as advisors. We are looking for a highly driven Operations Lead who ensures our current programs run smoothly and facilitates the implementation of new, impactful projects in the future.
As an Operations Lead, you would oversee all main processes of Scaling Altruism, lead the development and coordination of our courses, manage our CRM, and deliver our mailings, including our monthly newsletter.
Scaling Altruism was launched with the intention to support local EA community builders in their outreach efforts by reducing their operations workload related to running courses. By coordinating courses centrally, we help group organisers reduce their workload and shift their focus towards other activities. We aim to scale up the project to accommodate more groups and deliver a larger portfolio of programs.
Spearhead our international programs for students and professionals, delivering high-quality courses.
Streamline workflows (e.g., automating the evaluation of applications).
Effectively communicate with stakeholders (such as local organisers, program participants, and facilitators) in our programs.
The range of responsibilities includes: evaluating applications, group assignments, supporting course mentors, etc.
Providing support via templates, guides, and communications
Develop and collect high-quality marketing materials that local groups can work with in their outreach
Be the point person for all course-related inquiries by course participants, mentors, and local organisers
Data management, workflow development
Manage our course database of participants, facilitators, etc.
Monitor KPIs and generate impact evaluation reports
Other responsibilities may include

The rate above might seem lower than those offered by other organisations, because this project is spinning out of EA Hungary, which operates on a more limited budget, adjusted for the Hungarian cost of living. In the event of successful future funding rounds, we are open to raising the hourly rate to align with global trends for this role.
Commitment: 15-30 hours per week
Vacation: 25 days of paid vacation per year
Contract period: ~5 months (following a 2-month trial period), renewable based on performance and organisational funding
