If we are talking increased productivity/​ efficiency, I’d expect that things get worse for animals for a while, and then get better as incentives continue to push us to non-animal agriculture.
If we are thinking of an intelligence explosion/​ uncontrollable machine god then my expectations matter for nought, and my vote is a settled 0%
If we are thinking of a controllable intelligence explosion/​ machine god, then animals might be in the worst position—since revealed human preferences don’t seem to be great for animals so far.
