I’m currently pursuing my undergraduate Computer Science degree in Germany and so far it’s going very well. I’m now thinking about applying for internships. When it comes to careers that have an impact I see two possible routes:
A. Going directly into fields that I want to end up in: E.g. health tech/NGOs/etc.
B. Proving myself and gaining leverage first by getting into competitive/prestigious internships like FAANG or consulting companies
A mix of both I think are AI internships, however, I think it’s pretty hard to find any as an undergraduate
[Question] Should I prove myself first by prestigious employers or go directly into the fields I want to end up in?
