“let’s encourage more EAs who might have ADHD to get assessed, and treated if needed” (which I strongly agree with)
“Let’s do an investigation into why so many EAs do amphetamines recklessly or are falsely diagnosed with ADHD” (which I strongly disagree with doing, and disagree is an issue)
I voted against this one because it’s not specific to EA. This is a general phenomenon of people who have a “disfunction” of not having 99th percentile executive function seeking ADHD diagnoses to get access to amphetamines. It might be happening in EA, but it’s not clear there is an EA problem rather than a society-wide problem.
Addressing it as a general problem might be worthwhile, but we’d need to analyze it (maybe someone already has!).
An investigation into the encouragement into the diagnosis of ADHD and use of amphetamines within EA.
I think at this point, I’ll say that I have a diagnosis of ADHD and take Adderall, before y’all eat me alive.
I mainly wrote it cos someone said this was taboo and I don’t think it is.
I can’t tell if this comment is saying 1 or 2:

This is good for calibrating what the votes mean across the responses
