Am I right in assuming that the scale for the upvotes was intended to be roughly-but-not-exactly logarithmic? And do downvotes scale the same way?
Yep, we chose them based on a logarithmic scale, and then jiggled them around to fit to fuller numbers.
And yep, vote power also applied to downvotes, at least on LW, and would be somewhat surprised if we would do something else here.
