Talk & Community Meetup, with Emil Iftekhar on Global Catastrophic Biological Risks
Note that this meetup will be happening a day later than usual due to German Unity Day—see you on Wednesday, Oct. 04!
~~~
This time, we’ll have Emil Iftekhar, PhD student at Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organisation. Emil will give an introduction to Global Catastrophic Biological Risks or in other words ‘super pandemics’. He will explain why the risks are rising and which directions of governance and technical interventions exist.
19:00 Arrivals
19:15 Short intro for people new to EA
19:30 Talk
20:15 Open discussion and networking
We would be quite happy if you join us for the talk, but feel free to skip it and join us directly for the community meetup at 20:15.
