[Question] How did you find your MITx MicroMasters?

The 80K Hours job board has a List of Part-time Courses on Top Problems featuring the MIT MicroMasters Program in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy. This program has also been spruiked once or twice on the 80K Hours podcast.

I was wondering if anyone had taken it (or the MicroMasters Program in
Statistics and Data Science), and could share how they found it.

I’d be interested to know especially how easy it was to apply to MIT for the full Master’s following the program, and if you think it was a valuable use of your time.

I have an Australian Bachelor’s in Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours), work in the Australian Government and think a Master’s might be useful for working in intergovernmental organisations such as the World Bank, UN, OECD, and IMF.

If you haven’t taken this program, but have general advice, feel free to share.

Thanks so much,
Mitch
