Freedom-Adjusted Life Years
I had a go at doing some back-of-the-envelope accounting to compare 3 health issues (diabetes, depressions and endometriosis—via DALYs) and 3 freedom related issues (modern slavery, the largest refugee camp, North Korea—via FYLs).
Maybe we could more effectively recover years lost by prioritising more freedom-related issues?
