Questions for the 7.1 Program Operations Associate/Lead role
Hi :) I’d (also) love to think about this role more proactively—here are some questions I had in mind that would really provide helpful context!
Bolded are the 3 most pressing questions I have:
What frameworks are currently in place for maintaining, evaluating, and enhancing existing programs?
What qualities or experiences set apart a great candidate from a good one, especially if someone hasn’t had a synonymous role before? What attributes enable individuals to excel beyond the norm?
How can a candidate effectively demonstrate a mindset geared towards optimization and continuous improvement?
Can you describe the existing organizational systems for resource management? Are these systems at a stage where iterative improvements are preferred, or is there a need for fresh approach?
Regarding administrative and logistical tasks, what varieties of events are expected to be managed?
The CB team continuously evaluates the track record of grants we’ve made when they’re up for renewal, and this feeds into our sense of how good programs are overall. We also spend a lot of time keeping up with what’s happening in CB and in x-risk generally, and this feeds into our picture of how well CB projects are working.
