I just do not think this is true? UGAP very clearly puts the amount they pay. I think people are upvoting because it reconfirms their priors but I think you just made up “hearing” this. It’s giving Trump’s “many people are saying” and “many such cases” and I wish we wouldn’t do this on the forum.
The highest paid/prestige CB role is 100k on the century fellowship is 100k a year and was explicitly made as a prestige shield for community building so I doubt people have “way more lavish lives than the vast majority of Google workers”.
I find this surprising, given that I’ve heard numbers more like 100-200 $/h claimed by people considerably more senior than top-uni community builders (and who are working in similar fields/with similar goals).
I would be interested to hear how their time might be worth that much. Are there any analysis on potential chat effectiveness of community building here on the forum?
