This isn’t a criticism of the analysis but a question about the audience for which it was intended. Do many EAs give to medical research? Whilst there are lots of non-EAs who donate to, say, cancer research, I can’t remember having a conversation with an EA where they’d said this is what they donate to.
FWIW, I agree that cancer seems to substantially overfunded compared to alternatives.
