Does anyone have a list of counterfactual success stories that have arisen directly from EA-related work? I can think of a couple (GiveWell donation statistics seem an obvious answer) but I would love a list or some examples. I want to use this for:
General conversations about EA in day-to-day life. I often hear the response that EA seems too philosophical; citing examples of counterfactual goods seems like a good way to mitigate this narrative, though I would welcome any suggestions of other techniques here.
Community building (I run my student group in St Andrews). I think it would be useful to have some tangible examples I can give in an introduction talk and conversations within fellowships.
