I’ll point out that I’m skeptical that most biorisks could be existential risks—I think they are plausible global catastrophic risks, and overlapping risks could lead to extinction, but I think people’s idea of a disease that kills over 99.9% of the global population is very unlikely even when accounting for near-term potential bioweapons.
