The Foresight Institute is an American nonprofit that promotes the beneficial development of transformative technology. It was founded in 1986 by Eric Drexler and Christine Peterson.[1][2]

My impression is that their scope has expanded/changed from that, e.g. they now seem to host a lot of online events on things like existential risks, anti-ageing, etc. But I haven’t looked closely.
