Can be used to summarize or contextualize the PDF content, boosting relevance and searchability.
Enhances user experience, especially on mobile.
Enables tracking, lead generation (e.g. email capture), or further navigation.
AEO bonus: A good landing page improves chances of getting featured snippets, voice search hits, or results in answer boxes.
I would suggest this structure for the landing page:
Clear headline matching likely search intent
A summary or key takeaways from the PDF
A strong call to action to download or explore the PDF
Highly recommended: Q&A section on the report highlights, visual previews, and testimonials.

One thing I’d gently push back on: I’ve been in this movement a long time and met vegans of every temperament, and I’m not sure the dogmatic culture you describe is as universal as the post implies. That makes me want to ask: is the friction we’re diagnosing here really coming from vegans imposing a bar, or is some of it coming from the other direction, listeners feeling an implicit moral comparison and reacting defensively to it, even when nothing judgmental was said? This is close to what came up in the exchange between ElliotTep and Michelle_Hutchinson below: ElliotTep noted a pattern of cognitive dissonance among people who care about animals but still eat them, and Michelle pushed back that this framing is itself a stereotype that can make omnivores feel judged in these spaces.
I think there’s a related dynamic worth naming, but running in the other direction: it’s not just that omnivores get stereotyped, it’s that the very read of vegans as dogmatic or preachy may itself sometimes be a defensive reaction rather than an accurate read of what vegans are actually doing.
There’s actual research on this. Minson and Monin’s 2012 study on “do-gooder derogation” found that meat-eaters rated vegetarians more negatively specifically when prompted to imagine being morally judged by them, even absent any actual judgment: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1948550611415695.
And it goes further than diet, a related 2015 study by Tasimi, Dominguez, and Wynn found the same pattern in 8- to 10-year-olds: kids preferred a generous child over a stingy one, but that preference dropped sharply once they were made to compare their own (lesser) generosity to the generous child’s, and the effect disappeared when the generous person was an adult rather than a peer: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4508481/. So even children seem to derogate a “do-gooder” mainly when the comparison hits close to home.
In my own experience in EA and animal spaces, I very often get unprompted “I’m not vegan, but I do X for animals” from people I never asked, which reads to me like the same reflex, not a response to anything I did.
None of that erases the real people who do gatekeep or moralize; I’ve met them too. But if some of the friction is coming from anticipated judgment rather than actual pressure, then “stop saying the word” might treat a symptom without addressing the underlying discomfort, and might even under-credit vegans who aren’t doing anything wrong. Maybe both things are worth naming: real dogmatism where it exists, and the fact that people sometimes bring their own defensiveness into the room.
