Great idea! Hopefully what we’re developing is also a like ‘group listserv’ where it will show those in EA working on bioethics / bioethics aligned into EA. Right now there’s no formal place for it but if you wanted to be super proactive, feel free to start a google doc or just a running list. I can help!

There’s a lot on bioethics and biosecurity—mainly in the form of dual use research of concern (DURC) and GoF policy (at least in the US) and what research should be allowable! Happy to share reading suggestions if wanted
Welcome! Hmm would love to chat more about how utilitarianism intersects with bio policy? Ex. I generally support challenge trials but getting them approved (especially by ethicists) is a whole other hurdle

Hmmm that was a test we were running to see about using the subforum as a way to promote group forum posts. Like that’s a link to a draft I started that they theoretically you could edit. Just wanted to let you know that but I’ll work it out with the CEA dev team
Welcome :) there’s lots of readings about bioethics but I think thinking about lab safety, research ethics, and social value would be a great place to start learning
