  Hi Karla, your initial interpretation is correct—the fund managers will still evaluate applications during the pause, but due diligence and payments won’t be processed until 1 August. “We likely won’t evaluate all applications by 1 June, but we will prioritize time-sensitive and promising applications and aim to complete evaluations for those before the pause” refers to the fact that any applications not evaluated by 1 June won’t be processed until 1 August, not that they won’t be evaluated until 1 August.

  However, I still can’t give a concrete probability that you’ll hear back by mid-August given that this is highly dependent on capacity constraints; make sure to note your time-sensitivity in your application, and the EAIF will make every effort to evaluate it expediently.
