Why is the menu option ‘Hedgie’ called that? With its association with that lovely animal the hedgehog, it’s sweet and quirky, but for someone new to the EA forum it has absolutely no information content. I myself, for example, was trying to find out how I could post on the forum but only found out quite by chance that it was under the Hedgie menu option. For ease of site navigation, the meaning of a menu option should be immediately clear to a new user. Presently, the name Hedgie gives the impression of a closed, insider type community, with its own jargon that shuts people out. Surely not the impression the creators of the forum wish to give. As a professional communicator, I recommend this menu option be changed to something clearer.
[Question] Why is forum menu option ‘Hedgie’ called that?
How can I change my user name in my profile?
You can’t, it’s only possible for admins. Feel free to either reply here with the username you want, send me a private message, or use the help chat on the bottom right :)
I think you posted this a few days early
I think it’s called that because it’s named after your username. For example my menu says “PeterWildeford”. Though I agree it is a bit unintuitive that the “New Post” button is found under your name.
