Hey everyone! We recently opened applications for the AIAF Fellowship, an 8-week paid alignment research program that the AI Alignment Foundation runs in partnership with us at AE Studio.
Fellows spend eight weeks doing full-time alignment research, fully remote, at the pace of an industry research team:
- $12,000 stipend for the 8-week program - Compute covered: cloud GPUs + API credits per team, no out-of-pocket costs - A dedicated research manager working alongside your team every day - Research direction from our alignment team, focused on neglected approaches - Every team works toward a LessWrong post, and a paper when the research supports it - Hybrid Demo Day in LA, travel and accommodation covered
We’re looking for people with a strong ML background who’ve thought hard about alignment, not just read about it. Any career stage. Recent PhDs, MSc students, self-taught researchers, and people transitioning from other fields are all welcome.
