I do a lot of cross-posting because of my role at CEA. Iāve noticed that this racks up a lot of karma that feels āundeservedā because of the automatic strong upvotes that get applied to posts. From now on (if I remember; feel free to remind me!), Iāll be downgrading the automatic strong upvotes to weak upvotes. Iām not canceling the votes entirely because Iām guessing that at least a few people skip over posts that have zero karma.
This could be a bad idea for reasons I havenāt thought of yet, and Iād welcome any feedback.
Could the option to strongly upvote oneās own comments (and posts, in case you remove the automatic strong upvotes on posts) be disabled, as discussed here? Thanks.

Just to clarify, you know your self-votes donāt get you karma?
...nope. Thatās good to know, thanks! Given that, I donāt think Iāll bother to un-strong-upvote myself.
