🧑‍⚖️ Promotions for the law student competition on drafting a treaty for AI safety are in full swing, with features in the Harvard Crimson Newsletter and an Instagram campaign starting from June 22.

🪧 Michael Huang organised a powerful protest in Melbourne, where several activists raised awareness about the risks associated with OpenAI’s pursuit of superintelligence. Check out the #PauseAI press release for more information on the event and our demands for government intervention. Together, let’s #PauseAI and prioritise AI safety.

📃 We have submitted our response to the UK policy paper “AI regulation: a pro-innovation approach” on 20 June 2023.

We are now working on the Australian policy paper “Supporting responsible AI: discussion paper” (due 26 July). If you want to contribute to the upcoming USA and Australian consultation papers, please respond to this email.
