Work trials are remote and historically have been fairly flexible (over the course of a few weeks) about the date.
We generally apply an adjustment based on the cost of living and may apply an adjustment based on prevailing salaries in the country, both of which are less than 100%. They are intended to make it so our salaries are, if not competitive with industry, ideally not an enormous sacrifice in expensive places like San Francisco, while simultaneously not being egregiously luxurious in lower salary places like Oxford.
