Most if not all the members here are familiar with transhumanism and singularity. The end result of these developments is extreme individual empowerment.
So my question is, addressing the elephant in the room, how would empathy, cooperation, altruism and society survive this? If cyborgs or uploads do not need others for their needs, why should they interact with humans? Even worse, why shouldn’t they send humans where Neanderthals went?
TLDR: Technologically empowered humans could be as bad as Unaligned ASI.

I’m not sure I understand, what is it you are criticising?
