166 States Vote to Adopt Lethal Autonomous Weapons Resolution at the UNGA

Quick update:

The full General Assembly needed to confirm the First Committee’s decision to adopt the autonomous weapons resolution from last month’s meeting[1]. Botswana, Central African Republic, Congo, Eswatini, and Grenada all recorded ‘Yes’ votes, which brought the final number up to 166![2] This is up from the 152 last year[3].
