Iād guess it would in theory be worth having tags for EA Cambridge and maybe some other uni/ālocal groups like EA Oxford or Stanford EA. I have in mind groups that are especially ānotableā in terms of level and impact of their activities and whether their activities are distinct/ānovel and potentially worth replicating. E.g., EA Cambridgeās seminar programs seem to me like an innovation other groups should perhaps consider adopting a version of, and with more confidence they seem like a good example of a certain kind of innovative thinking in local group organising.
But I think it would probably be bad if this opened the floodgates to huge numbers of tags for local/āuni groups.
So Iām not sure if the best move is to have no such tags, use our best but somewhat āconservativeā/āādeletionistā judgement on which such tags to create, or try to come up with criteria that are more objective than my comments above and then follow that.
(Also note that Iām no expert on local/āuniversity EA groups, my comments above are tentative, and my knowledge of which groups are doing which seemingly cool things is somewhat haphazardly arrived at.)
EDIT:
Thereās a tag for EA Israel
There was previous somewhat relevant discussion here and here
