I hear about conversational principles like these, but I donât know how to get from âvague feeling that something is wrong with the conversationâ to âI think youâre confusing me with excess informationâ.
A very simple example might be someone saying, âWhatâs up?â and the other person saying âThe sky.â. âWhatâs up?â assumes a shared amount context. To be relevant, it would make much more sense for it to be asking how the other person is doing.
