I am looking after EA Kolkata in India. I am also actively involved in EA Film and TV group. I have meta-moderated for EA VP and facilitated EA In-depth Program. I was a volunteer in Communications department with ALLFED from Oct 2022- April 2024. I also got the opportunity to work in the Finance Department in ALLFED in 2023. I keep working on EA related projects independently and the recent one being as a coordinator of an event under AI Safety Campaign, Australia.

Hey thanks for this! I mean my community is focused on ‘career driven altruism’ and not ‘donation driven altruism’ cause I understand the per capita income in India is highly fragmented and mostly unfavorable. But judicious career decisions can change the scene. Income is directly proportional to Value generation I feel and hence choosing career that are valuable (above conventional ones) can ultimately make Indians ‘earn to give’ ready.
Thank you for this!

To not support innumerable questions from a patient is alright but perhaps a fixed number of questions could be addressed? Well I am into training AI models and working as an external evaluator. So I can say people are working. However I never really understood the claims of rising cost in AI training coz we hardly get paid here, atleast in India. P.S: The claims referred to in here are from elsewhere.
Beautifully articulated throughout and especially when you write “stop thinking and just ship it” is as much of an avoidance strategy as “you can’t ship things until they’re perfect”. Activated some of my grey cells out there. In need of more such pieces on the forum.
Glad you found it interesting:)

Hi Harfe, it is inspired by his article, not an actual list from him.
Hi Heramb! Thanks for bringing this up. Here’s Nik Samoylov’s (the contest organizer) reply—What I meant is to take it from an idea and make it into a concrete draft legal document. P.S: The post has been updated!

I think that data ethics and drug ethics together or as separate social functions can save humanity at large.
