I didnât vote on it (nor do I think I should be voting on any comments in this thread), but Iâd guess it has to do with the following: How do you tell edits for clarity from edits that change the meaning? You could imagine this getting heated on high stakes threads.
It says who has edited it and how. I think youâd be careful when using it and if someone abused it it would be clear to everyone that they had done so.
I also didnât vote on it but I do kind of hate this idea. I definitely donât want anyone else editing my comments âfor clarityâ; if they want to clarify something, they can leave a reply comment and ask if thatâs actually what I meant.
