Climate Change (Shenanigans Workshop)

Hey everyone,

For June’s Shenanigans, I’ll be leading a workshop on climate change.

Everyone knows about climate change by now, but the exact consequences of rising temperatures are still unpredictable. While there are promising approaches, the issue is highly politicized and the benefits of many popular initiatives are questionable. And what is the potential of new approaches yet to come? Do we even have enough time?

80,000 Hours ranks reducing extreme risks from climate change as its “second-highest priority area”: an unusually pressing global problem that ranks just below their top four priority areas.

But what do you think? Let’s explore the issue together and get a clearer picture of how to tackle it effectively.

My plan is to alternate between presentation (me), small group, and large group conversation—I’m flexible on the proportions and even the format, let’s do what works best for us.

You’re very welcome, even if you’ve never been to a meetup, or you feel like you don’t fit in. Here is the link to our last event, maybe you know someone already: Teaching how to teach (Shenanigans Workshop)
