Institute for Law and AI (previously known as Legal Priorities Project) is a research and community-building project that conducts and supports strategic legal research that aims to mitigate existential risk and promote the flourishing of future generations.

History

The organisation was founded as the Legal Priorities Project in 2020. The idea for the project originated in an effective altruism group at Harvard Law School two years earlier.
