Subjective wellbeing

TagLast edit: 31 May 2021 14:56 UTC by Pablo

To measure someone’s subjective wellbeing (SWB), we survey them about their own feelings using questions like “overall, how satisfied are you with your life nowadays?”

This information may be more useful for understanding the impact of EA work than “objective” measures which try to estimate well-being by looking at external features of a person’s life (e.g. how healthy they are or how much money they have).

Posts with this tag may discuss specific measures of SWB, the general use of SWB measures within the EA movement, or other related topics.
